Looks like the Town Car will get some competition in the NYC livery segment.

Here is a better pic of the LWB

Cadillac makes a LWB version of the STS in China, I wonder if the USA will ever see that.

Re: Stretched Chrysler 300

So they took an ugly car, stretched it, and came up with an even uglier car!

The Malibu Maxx is one of the ugliest cars out there right now.

Malibu (Maxx or not) is Chevy's ugliest car.

The muscular/upscale looking 300 bears no resemblance to a Malibu. Maxx or otherwise IMO anyway.

Question Re: Stretched Chrysler 300

the 300 an ugly car???????? wow...I think its a rolling work of art.

but what I meant is the roofline looks like the Maxx I think is where I get the similarities..the black 300 and the Maxx seam like they share alot of the same "stretching" idea to maximize space.

You're posting a pic of the sport model Malibu. Compared to that the Malibu is somewhat better looking. And you're posting the less attractive hatchback Aveo. The sedan is a bit better looking.

But in every other trim level (ie- the more commonly sold), yes I think the Malibu is less attractive. Especially when compared against the 2007 Aveo which is much better looking than the current model.

The Monte Carlo and Cobalt are both better looking than the Malibu and Aveo.

I"m a Chevy person all the way (have owned 7 cars, all Chevy) but I have to say, the Chrysler 300 is better looking than anything Chevy has right now. I even prefer the Ford Fusion over most of Chevy's cars and I always said I'd never own a Ford.

Re: Stretched Chrysler 300

thats the thing, some cars are stand out hits. I was just saying any aveo is an entry level car, and a malibu, though you say its ugly is one of GM's tops sellers...so is Aveo?? so is the Scion Xb??? go figure? But I just took the best of the car and what it looks like, sure its not what everyone drives but when you think Camaro most think SS or Z28 when they "put it in the minds eye" And most Aveos are just plain jane cars.
Ive owned a 68 Skylark, 73 Mustang, 78 Rally Sport, 86 Chrysler New Yorker, 87 Dodge Dakota my 94 Z28, 98 Mustang and drive a 02 Ford van right now.
I like cars for what they bring to the public. I love DCX's styling direction, heck even Fords, the fusion is a great looking car, as is the Mercury Milan and Lincoln Zypher. Heck I love the HHR for what its worth, and the listing of my cars, well just shows you that whater it is its a car and it has its fine points.

Perhaps ugly was the wrong word. I should have said FUGLY...

OK, they aren't quite that bad, but yes, to me the whole LX line is bloated and messed up. Some of the details are cool, to be sure, but the package doesn't do it for me. The front end is a disaster on all three, and the huge slab sided vertical door surfaces with the tiny looking, squashed greenhouse just don't work for me. The cars look decent in SRT8 trim, with the huge 20 inch wheels and lowered stance. But on the normal wheels (especially the base 17s), it looks out of whack. In fact, the base cars (and the even taller-riding awd cars) look like they are on temporary spares at all 4 corners...

But that's just my $0.02, give or take.

Obviously some people like them, as they sell a decent number. Of course, there are lots of people out there who pierce their genitals too.
