Strange Sighting
Strange Sighting
Well I live in Mich and go to school in dearborn so I see a lot of test cars driving around with the black covers on them.
Well a couple weeks ago I saw one that the front end was covered and it looked just like the next mustang concept that I have seen on here a few times, but the rear was uncovered and it was that of a Lincoln LS, not sure what that means, just thought I'd share.

Interesting sighting. It could actually be the new LS too. They ar eputting some additional work into next years model as I understand. As for this years model, check this out... from Autoweek
QUOTE - HERE’S CONFIDENCE FOR YOU: Not content with the gutsy move of showing us the Lincoln LS at Waterford Hills road racing circuit, Lincoln also lined up prime competitors including the Cadillac CTS, BMW 530i and Lexus GS 300. Then, they did it again, with a similar range of competitors at Mid-Ohio Raceway.
The LS didn't embarass any of those competitors, but it did hold it's own, and even excelled in a few areas. That was all Lincoln was trying to prove. All-in-all, a very gutsy move on their part to invite press people to review THEIR car, but have competitive models on hand that you KNOW are a little better to guage with. I confer upon them KUDOS for the Big Ball demonstration...
I saw something interesting between Charlotte NC and Spartanburg SC on I-85 about 2 weeks ago... A black Mercury Marauder - no big deal right? Well there were 2 guys in it that looked "movie-star-like", with make up, suits, and hair-do's and all...
But more bizarre was the fact that this car had Michigan Manufacturer's plates on it. It also had strange badging behind the front driver's fender - I couldn't make out the letters from our lane. (I was in the rear seat of a corporate Crown Vic, someone else was driving 3 of us to a vendor's location in SC.)
You NEVER see Michigan Mfg's plates in southern NC, and I'd give anything to know if those were S/C badges on the side of it...
Maybe they are road testing the S/C version for release this year?
