Stock nitrous?
Stock nitrous?
We’ve seen blowers and turbos on cars for ages and now Ford is doing this “super cooler” thing for a power adder. But do you think we will ever see small nitrous shots on cars out of the factory? As an option of course and only in small shots. (50 shot) I mean this magic gas has been around for a long time. I could see some of the *** cars doing this. Or am I dreaming?
Isn't it illegal to have an active nitrous system in a road vehicle? Never looked into it because I don't use the stuff, but I'd think that would effectively knock out any chance of seeing nitrous on any option list.

closest thing I can imagine is an overbuilt/engineered engine from factory... stronger than needed internals, overcapacity fuel system and maf, readily programmable computer.. etc.. Everything ready for nitrous..
But doubt they would warantee it.. or bother making it in the first place since there isn't too high of a demand.. would make a cool crate motor kit from GMPP..

Yea its illegal for probably a few reasons. One I bet the EPA doesn't want you injecting it to the combustion due to emissions. ANd two its dangerous to transport. Sure not that dangerous to us but the "what if's" are plenty when a high pressure bottle is placed in a vehicle that could cause an explosion. Especially if you sell it in mass production whare the chances are greater for accidents. I'd say three the manufacturers would't add n2o because of liability and the fact that it causes numerous stresses to the engine and the misuse of n2o can destroy an engine. Because the testing says 36,000 miles in any condition. They'd have to test the engines with n2o and be able to say no matter what this engine with the mods we have given will last the full length of the warranty! The only fix is to beef up the engine and then you've eaten the profits out of the program!
