I think its absurd for GM to be trying to pass this car off as a family car with muscle appeal. No family is going to find this car, with such a low roofline, practical in any way. That's why SUVs are so hot.

I think you remove the 2 rear doors, lenthen the fronts a tad to aid rear seat access, and chop 10 inches off the overall lenght and you end up with a 188 inch long, 3400 lb Camaro!

The interior is a bit out there, but I think that's purely a design exercise. You cannot tell me this car was not built to test consumer reaction to it, and that the entire GM press realease does not mention any resemblance or Camaro heritage is a farce!!

Obviously every major car mag out there is going to draw an early 2nd gen reference...heck, it even has 4th gen overtones...seems to be a balance of evolution and retro. Darth Xed, where are you when we need an anti-retro viewpoint?

Personally, I like it.

WRONG!!! I'd buy it for my family in a second! There are alot of guys like me out there that would too. I grew up in a family who had a 1987 Monte SS Aero Coupe for a daily driver and I thought my father was the coolest for having such a ride for our family. Lets not forget how popular the Impala SS was and look at the BMW's and Mercedes and hell even your GTP Grand Prix's. Guys who have families want performance and when a Camaro doesn't fit a family of 4, well, this does! I can only hope and pray that something like this goes into production because my wife is going to have a new work/family car if it does!!!

Thank you for sharing your opinion, but I wish you were less RUDE about it. I don't think I'm "WRONG", you just don't agree with me. Anyway....

I just don't see a whole lot of buyers who would share that opinion. Everything is about practicality and convenience these days. This concept sounds like a full sized Impala SS on paper but the proportions and sizes are just all wrong for a family car. Those rear doors are pretty small for a true family vehicle, not to mention the trunk--if a full sized rear seat is a part of the car--looks to be nearly non-existent.

He's right. That is no Impala SS or a car like it.

Its more like the car says "we can make a Camaro if we really feel like it." And a messed up looking 1 at that.

Looks great, I'd buy it in a sec. (as long as it is under $30K)

I like the back end, and the profile is not bad.... I, personally, am not crazy about the front clip though... Looks like a new Mazda RX8 and a 71 Z28/RS had a kid or something....

BUT... I think it's a decent starting point... but I'd say more of a starting point for a Chevelle than a Camaro, IMHO...

I'd buy one to replace my GTP. I love the side and rear views. The front clip needs a little less retro-ism, other than that the car is great and it would be very cool to bring it in as a Chevelle IMHO. Maybe a shortened version could be a Camaro, who knows?

Guys....give yourselves a break. You're killing yourselves trying to make a Camaro out of that.

Try photoshopping this into a Camaro:

After taking yet another look at this concept, it has a bit of the 'clown shoe' look to it as well.... and a bit of Crylsyer Crossfire in it too...

Really, you'd like to see a Camaro that size?? I think thats smaller than even a 1st Gen.
