SS Concept

I went to the Seattle Auto show today & Spent some time taking pics (well as close as they would let me) of the SS concept car beleive me it looks better in person than in artist drawings.

Re: SS Concept

That concept is still being shown? It's a bit old. It's nice though.

Re: SS Concept

I did like the SS when it was first shown even if some say it looked like an oversized RX-8, but I'm not so much a fan now, if only for that bland front end. IMO, it has to make a bold statement, it needs an aggressive grille if people are to take it more seriously. The rear end looks very distinctive, probably the best part of the design itself and totally in keeping with the overall character, accentuated by the flares, which give the car those aggressive cues.

Hope I'm making sense.

Re: SS Concept

That car is the ugliest POS I've ever seen and I don't understand how people can compliment it!

I'd rather have a Malibu SS, Grand Prix GXP, Charger, 300, CTS, etc. etc.

Re: SS Concept

I really don't like that car...It looks very soft, doesn't look aggressive at all. It looks cute, not mean like it should

Re: SS Concept

Still doesn't do it for me. I like aspects of it, and it does have potential, but as it sits (now as well as before) it is not my thing.

Re: SS Concept

It does look like it could be a 5th gen actually. Even so, if production looks like this, I'm not buying. 4th gen for me.

Re: SS Concept

Well keep in mind it's not supposed to be a real car, its a syling exercise. I always get a kick when elements of these things show up in showrooms. Check out the grille of the SS, then check out the '06 Impala and Malibu

I never liked as much as most other people. It just never quite hit the button for me. I DO like the wheels, though.

I always get a kick out of when people send me pics of that car and tell me they found it on the the net and it is the 5th gen. Gotta appreciate the consideration.

Now that is a pretty interesting statement. It sure would be a neat idea to have a few styling aspects from more than one generation, no?
