Spy pics of '07 Sebring
Re: Spy pics of '07 Sebring
The sebring coupe and vert are currently on 2 different platforms. The couple shares it's chassis with the previous eclipse and the vert with the cirrus/stratus cars. Essentially they have been different cars...heaven only knows why they have the same name.
The Sebring Vert has been the best selling convertible in America for many years. This is not due to it's driving dynamics. I have one and consider them merely adequate. There's also a lot of chassis flex. The 2001 models got a 25HP boost helping with the lack of power. The thing that really draws people to the convertible is it's affordability and the fact that it does not have many of the traditional detriments of a vert. The styling is loved by many people, trunk is good size, there is plenty of back seat room and the inside is comperably quiet when compared to similar cars.

Bottom pic looks like it might be the Dodge version (the wheels look more Dodge-like, and the dash looks a little more Dodge-like too). Or maybe not.
They definitely look thickened up (
), to go along with the brick-like LX cars. Too bad; I think the current Stratus and Sebring are pretty attractively styled cars.
Final judgment reserved for a non-camo'd production version, of course.

Re: Spy pics of '07 Sebring
I love the current coupes, and considered a new '03 Sebring LX 5 speed back before I bought my GP. In a way, I still wish I had bought that car. It was far more basic than the GP, but it had the right look, a very sporty feel with the low roofline and the 5 speed, and the interior was quite attractive with a very nice Infinity 4 disc CD changer. If the car in question had a sunroof, I may have bought it.
Too bad the new car won't have a coupe, and too bad what you can see of the dash is pretty unimpressive looking. I thought these cars were supposed to look ground-breaking, but with or without the camo, they don't really look standout quality to me.
