Some more GTO info.
All this information sounds great, If I was going to get a GTO I wouldn't be able to get one until next spring and by then I'll be able to get a hood with scoops and pipes coming out on both sides, probably as a dealer installed option.
GM has a winner with this one.

I looked at the Vette RPO's and they have two RPO's of MN6
LS1 Engine, 5.7L LS1 V8 SFI
LS6 Engine, 5.7L LS6 V8 SFI
MN6 Transmission, 6-speed manual
MN6 Transmission, 6-speed manual
MX0 Transmission, 4-speed automatic
So the MN6 for the GTO could mean anything!

Though I like the new GTO alot, I feel some key ingredients are missing that could be added other than the dual tips and scoops. Most of GM's line up in available with XM radio, GTO is not. And whereas I'm used to having an open roof, whether it be a sunroof or t-tops, the GTO has no open roof option at all.

I mean, everything from a Sunfire to a Bonneville has (and on my lot, sells much better with) a power sunroof. All my Grand Am GTs, all my Grand Prixs, always have one. And now a $35,000 car without one? Sure, Mustang doesn't have one either...but Mustang does not cost as much on average...A true shame
Ude-lose, what size rims are on that Black GTO? The show car had 18" and production is getting 17" right? I was hoping the GTO would be getting 18" rims, the 350z and G35 have 18"s
Jason E, the Cobra is $35,000 and has no sun roof, but I agree with you, it should be an option.

We’re not closing the door on the possibility of a “performance-model” of the GTO, but right now we are concentrating on the 2004 model with the LS1 engine. Stay tuned, because the one thing I know for certain is that this car is going to be around for a while, and it’s going to evolve.
I think I can also safely say that many of you will be in for a small surprise very soon.

A 5th Gen Camaro is pretty close...one approval away really. I hope to have a pretty big update in September
