Some "first drive" reviews of the ZR1
Nothing really ground breaking. The mainstream mags like the car, but there is no real "OMG, ZR1 = King of All Cars!" type of praise that they give (as I seem to remember them giving the GTR). But perhaps that will come, if at all, during the performance comparison tests.
However, Jalopnik certainly gives a heavy nod to the ZR1 with the opening line of the article; "The 2009 Corvette ZR1 is the best car ever made."
GM has done well with the ZR1; much better than I originally expected based upon early internet rumors. Hopefully the ZR1 will get the respect it deserves from the foreign car biased reviewers out there.

The ZR1 is simply badass.
On a semi-related note, the tires selected for the ZR1 reaffirm my desire to see the Z06 get a better pair of shoes. I'm convinced that, had the Z06 been fitted with these tires (and no other changes), the car would not be falling behind the GT-R on some of the road course tests we've seen.
Meanwhile, the ZR1 is just staggering.

I was at Corvettes @ Carlisle on Saturday, got to look over 5 different ZR1's... very cool.
Speaking of the tires, they are just giganticly wide in person, I mean it looks like a steam roller from the rear.
