Not like that design is completely unique:

They all look like gussied up TVRs to me.

Mmmmm, TVRs

He also mentions how much he loves the Aston Martin Vanquish. So let's look at that:

Then look at his car.

Damn opportunistic fortune-seekers.

That Infiniti concept sketch looks more like the upcoming BMW Z4 than the Solstice. IMO, it's tough to call that shape really unique. Most roadsters share a lot of those lines, as the article pointed out.

The main thing they have in common is that they're hideous and I'd vomit if I saw either of them drive past.

I don't understand that article. The two designs look very different IMHO. There are tons of other car designs that look WAY more similar than these two. The Solstice is fresh, sleek, and graceful. The would-be Infiniti looks a little overstated. The Pontiac looks much better.

The Solstice shares more with the TVR Tuscan than the Infiniti.

Angry Thievery I tell ya!

They stole it from me! Hah!

Check out my crude unfinished sketches from about 1 year ago! Change the rear windows on the coupe, and the headlights a little... well I think it's kinda close anyway...

I don't know what any1 sees in that car. The front needs to be redesined and I bet I wouldn't like the back much either. Whatever though. Let them get another idiotic looking car/Pontiac out there and lets see where this 1 goes.

I personnally really like the solstice. Id like a bigger motor, but the shape is gorgeous. And it doesnt look any more like the Infinity than it does like any other modern/retro roadster concept.

In today's world of bubble shaped cars, you're going to see many designs be similar, since they're all pretty much variations on a theme, unlike the past. Sad but true. I don't see any evidence that PMD stole the Solstice design from anywhere. It's pure coincidence. and IMHO I'd like to see the Solstice produced and it's nearly perfect, but that Infiniti is azz-ugly
