So your friend buys a new chinese SUV for $6000...

and you know full well that you have a 100% chance of dying in a 30mph crash, would you still ride in the vehicle?

I wouldn't be his/her friend anymore, because he/she would be mad at me, because I wouldn't stop laughing at him/her.

I bet it's a girl.

I probably wouldn't ride in the damn thing just on principle, let alone the safety ratings.

BTW, I don't think you would have a "100%" chance of dying in even one of those piles.

Still have no interest in ever riding in one, or even SEEING one.

I'm guessing it says something about the 100% chance of dying in the videos in this thread since the thread starter has it in bold:

My work comp is too slow to play them.

Re: So your friend buys a new chinese SUV for $6000...

I would politely refuse to ride in it, and if they ask me why, I would simply tell them, "Not only do I value my health, I also want to go home and see my wife and kid tonight, and I would like to go to work tomorrow and find I still have a job. Would you like to ride with me in my car, or shall I just meet you there?"

Then I can start craking jokes about whether their car will make it to where we are meeting or not, and whether I should follow them (in case they break down) or they should follow me (if they can keep up)!

Heh.. My coworker has one of those early-mid 90's Isuzu Troopers.. which is the platform those Chinese SUV's are based off of.. even their crash tests results are similiar.. Anyways, that was going throug my head too when we were all riding in it to goto lunch.

But then again, I'm sure all of us either drives, or rides in plenty of other cars that are just as unsafe too, if you stop and think about it.

Top it off, I would argue this coworker is pretty safe driver........ which is arguably the most important part of the equation.

Believe it or not. To the average budget strapped American a 6,000 SUV might not sound that bad. Look at how many are now taking the risk going without Health Insurance because it's getting too costly???

It won't be available for sale in the U.S. if it can't withstand such a collision.

It has to pass our test to be sold here.
BTW it was at 40mph and not 30mph.
Also there is no such thing as 100% certain of death. I'm sure I could find one person that lives.
Therefore since all the information I am given appears to be total garbage, I can only surmise the rest is too.
