So... when's the next big sales promo?

I need the 6 month lease pull ahead to come back... it was here for a bit, then went back to 2 months.

I am guessing Memorial Day might be he next big shot?

I'm itching to ditch the GXP... just not cutting it for what I need anymore.

The main targets to replace it are:

Enclave / Acadia / Outlook

Crew Cab Silverado / Sierra

Avalanche

Lucerne

and a very small chance of an AWD CTS... I'd LOVE to go for it, but I already know the size is just gonna squash it for me.

Ideally, I'll end up with an Enclave / Acadia / Outlook, but the recent incentives on the trucks and/or Lucerne might make it hard to not go one of those directions.

But, anyway... what do you all think? Memorial Day time frame as a possibility of good incentive offers and a re-expanded GMAC lease pull ahead?

Man I miss the days of consistent 6 month lease pull-aheads. They used to offer them pretty regularly, but they've pretty much gone up in smoke the last 4 or 5 years.

I like the Acadia and Avalanche.

2009 Acadia/Outlook/Enclave get direct injection standard, I don't think they will be out until August though.

I recommend waiting for the 2009 DI models as well. You could also look at the chevy version of it too then if you want to.

What do I gain with direct injection vs the existing powerplant?

More power? Better mileage? Both?

DI should be more power and mileage.

It's 11 horsepower and approximately 2 mpg. The current 3.6 offers 275 horses. The new DI will be 285 (281 on the lower trim Traverse models with single exhaust). MPG figures haven't been released, but I've read 2 as the estimate in several different articles.

Wow, that is pretty significant!

Especially the MPG difference... that is a big difference, I figured it would be like a 1-2 PERCENT MPG gain, didnt realize it was that much.

Definately something to consider now... maybe , in reverse thinking, they'll drop some extra lease incentives on the current models once the D.I. models get close to showing up at the dealerships.

..... 6 speed manual would be nice as well, but probably pushing it.
