So what type of engine will the new Mustang have?
also, what kinda suspension will be on the mustang? Struts all around? Will it still be solid rear axle too? If so, are they switching over to lca/panhard/tq arm setup or still using the that Quadralink(bind) setup?
Word is it will have the same or similar rear suspension as is on the Falcon, control blade. The previous Falcon had a rear suspension that was almost the same as the Cobra's. Front suspension is similar to the LS.
As much as I would love to see the now-infamous "5.0" badge on the side of a Mustang again, I too think it is dead for now.
If I were a betting man - I'd say the 5.4 is gonna get the nod. It is growing all throughout the company, and across the oceans too. Think about it... it is modular, it is tooled, it can handle torque, it's beefy, and since the Lightnings have been getting all the attention they have for the last few years, the mod-shops and tuners are already pumping out aftermarket goodies for it, i.e. heads, intakes, etc. Aftermarket is a definite plus for Mustang sales and Ford knows it.
After saying and hearing "Triton 5.4" for so many years, it's gonna be hard not to think TRUCK when I hear 5.4 on the streets in the future!
When someone says "5.0", a '91 Foxbody sedan pops in my mind.
Friggin' paradigms...
