Let me know if anybody needs help in finding a Hotel room in the Sterling Heights area. I'm sure I can recommend some places and make sure if you find something yourself somewhere else that your not in the ghetto

Consider me in need of help. Hotels w/ DTW transportation would be good, as we'd like to not drive if we don't have to.

 

Scott's assistant in this is supposed to have blocked out a section of rooms at a local hotel for us.....she'll send it to you when you RSVP.

 

I hear there is a good view of the tracks on the Ford proving ground from the top floor of the Dearborn Inn...

 

Do not book hotel rooms if you received an invite. We are holding a block of rooms at one hotel (very nice hotel, surprisingly low rate........)......so that we can transport everyone.


Again, I would like nothing better than to be able to host EVERYONE at this event, however, we were not able to get additional press passes. (trust me, it was like pulling teeth to get these.)

Your name was on the list if:
>you post regularly
>you have a Camaro or Firebird
>you haven't been banned
>you show enthusiasm for the Camaro and Firebird.

We looked at 5 sites plus the presidents of clubs/websites

Lottery is the fairest way to do this.

 

Still deciding on if I'm driving. I'm supposed to be at the LA show on the 2nd & 3rd (if I remember). Not sure if I can take enough time off from work, and still be able to take the time (let alone the $$$) to go to Australia as planned.

With gas prices, and time involved, good old Southwest can probally save me money as well as time, even if I use just taxis when I get there.

If I drive, I plan to do so from LA/San Diego, and go through AZ, NM, TX, OK AR, and north through Tennesee, bypassing the worse of any snowfall.

 

 

I want to be there but I don't know if I will be able to make the trip. I can't wait just to see it, even a picture with my own eyes.

 

I must ask, but I highly doubt it, but has the lottery ended, or is it still going on? I doubt I have the clout to make the list, just wanting to know.
With all this ruckus, I reaaaaaaally want to go now.

 

The first round is over.....then depending on how many who were lucky enough to be chosen BUT can't make it, there will be a second round. You'll know for sure by the 15th.

 

I'm working diligently to assure I can be there. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!

 

Man I wish I could go but dont think I'll be able to make it as I'm moving to a new apt around dec 31-jan 2 and things will be hectic for awhile

 

I'll be there...I still gotta book rooms though. Which hotel did you guys book rooms at for the lottery? I'll probably try to get one there, so if this meeting happens I won't have to go very far to get there.

 

Hrm, I suppose a webmaster for a 9 month old Michigan fbody enthusiast website wouldn't make the list, eh? Congrats on those that will be there, whatever you do keep us updated! It's hard to imagine that some of us knew about this 6 months ago and we're finally making progress!
