Well the Z06 just doesn't say Z06...it says Z 06.

......Or that's the best I can do right now.

I don't care so much about / or not, I just hope they update the logo. They've used the same one for 20 years, all the way back to 1982.

That said, I saw a newer white Z running around w/ Z/28 badges that appeared to be off a '70 or so model (red Z, black 28, w/ the chrome trim). Looked quite nice.

Point is, just find some retro emblems to slap on your F5 if you don't like the way the new one looks.

Correction. The 67's had no badges saying that it was an RPO Z28. Only 68-69 had the slash.
I'll give you that 1. So really it was used for 2 years and maybe not even that, because early 68 Z28s had 302 emblems instead of Z28.

Actually it's not the same emblem as the Third Gen, take a closer look. That emblem you saw was a 1st Gen Z28 emblem.

Actually a little trivia I noticed:

The 4th Gen "Z28" font started in 1992

Take a look at the "25th" in the "25th Anniversary" badging on the 92 dash plaque!

Look familiar?? Yep. That's where that font got it's start.

Yeah, that is true. The 25th part of the emblem is the same font as the 4th Gen Z28 emblem.

I think that it should have the slash. Adds character.

What say you?
For 2004 it should be Z28 .
For 2007 Z/28 would be cool.

I use Z28 because its one less key I have to hit. Or if I am really lazy I will just say Z. But now that there is that 350Z piece of crap I can't really just say Z.

The 350Z is crap because everyone thinks it can beat a Camaro because it has two seats and looks neat. At the end of the commercials they should have to put "please note this car has only two seats and cannot beat a LS1".

If your trying to say the 350Z is faster, it isn't. As for the 350Z being crap I don't think so. I've had a 4th gen Z28 and I currently own a 350Z, and I am much happier with the 350Z, and boy do I hope GM get's the next Camaro perfect because the 350Z changed the way I look at American cars. I'd rather drive an GM product ( before this becomes an "Domestic vs Import" discussion), but they got to get on the ball. The GTO/CTS-V are a leap (not just a step) in the right direction. I still like the slash BTW.

Unless the symbol looks modern like the 4th gen version, then avoid the slash. Modern Z28, modern symbol. No slash or hyphen for me.

What I meant was...the old emblem was off a '70 or so model Z28, and it looked good on the late model.

And the Z28 emblem that has been running around since 1982...if it's any different than the 4ths gens, I didn't notice, and I had a 3rd gen for 9 years. In any case, they need a new emblem :-)

It was from a 60 something not a 70 something is what I said. The / is 1st Gen.

The Third and 4th Z28 emblem is really similar, but a little different.
