Silverado 5.3L is now rated at 380HP..
..on E85
380hp @ 5600
(E85 – SAE certified)
416 lb-ft @ 4100
(E85 – SAE certified)
2014 Silverado 1500 Regular Cab Specifications
it also uses 8.5 quarts of synthetic 0w20
Anyone know why the 4.3L wouldn't use the same oil as the 5.3L & 6.2L? (5w30 vs. 0w20) Same engine technology.

I use 10w30 royal purple in anything other than break in then straight 30 rotella
my 2500 crew cab 8.1 has 309k miles on factory drive train 10w30 rp after the first 6k miles
177k on my 03 Tahoe 5.3
