OK, I'm gonna be the first to say it... I dont really liek them.

The T/A looks like a Frankenstein car with older piece sewed into the F4.

The Camaro, quite frankly, doesn't look all that different at a quick glance, besides the stickers and the wheels, and the big wing...

Yeah, I know what you mean. The drawing was (as always) more dramatic than the actual car.

.....and, I don't even see one Z/28 emblem on that car!

These cars, especially the Z/28 were rushed to be completed for Woodward..in fact Scott told me just a week or two ago he didn't know if it would make it there....expect more finishing touches by Bowling Green's event.

I think they both are fantastic!

The TA is as close to it's early 70's forefather as it can be....lots of que's there.

The Z/28 has new fenders, 1/4's, spoiler, front fascia, hood and grille......not to mention the other add-ons.....it was a TON of work.

Well, I'm just glad to see them even mention the Z/28 respectfully, in an "official" GM release.

I'm not very impressed by the Camaro, but that TransAm ! It looks great!!

The reason that I never bought a newer Camaro was because it hasn't changed enough for me to dive back into monthly payment land. BUT, that TransAm would have been enough to convince me to trade in my Z28 so fast your head would spin!

I LOVE the look of the Camaro especially. Those bulges by the fenders make all the difference. Also, I love that hood and the spoiler. Trans Am looks great except for the front grill. Nice cars.

That Z28 would have been a good car for SLP to do for 2002. 35th anniv. Z28 maybe or how about "Z28/R"

I would hate to see them do a Z28 "R." There's no need. Z/28 meant "R" long before VTEC and a red "R" badge did. How many world class races has any "R" branded import won compared to the first gen. Z/28?

Regarding the T/A:

I don't think I like the rear spoiler, wheel well spats, and fender heat extractors. Or maybe I would have liked them more if they were grafted onto a T/A instead of a base 'Bird. I've never liked the rear bumper cover on the base car and the Formula. Too plain and not deep enough. I also think the car needs the T/A's rocker extensions and door molding.

I know I don't like the rims and tires. Ugly wheels, wrong offset, and tire profile is too small. Should have made a modern interpretation of the Rally II wheel.

I think the front is really neat. Shows where Pontiac could have taken the F4 'Bird if GM hadn't killed it. Love the shaker hood scoop and the smooth hood & nose piece.

I liked the interior except for the blue dash. The 70-73 dashes that were this color look less obtrusive because they weren't nearly as big as the new ones. Should have left dash gray and maybe used some engine turned appliques somewhere on it.

One question. The decal reads 421 SD, but what's really under that shaker and is it functional?

The car shows promise.
If they'd let me at it, I'd turn it into a real show stopper.

There is a Cobra R, Chevy C5-R, Viper GTS-R, and Jaguar S-Type R. So why not a Z28-R? I think the above cars show that it is not a rice thing

The S-Type is the only car you listed that isn't a genuine race car. And in the case of the S type "R" means the same thing as "Z/28" does on a Camaro "this is the performance model."

Yeah, isn't that something. They pushed the Z28 and not the the SS. Hopefully thats the way its gonna be.

I like the cleaner look of the front of the TA. Hood looks good, front bumper looks good, other than that, I'm not really impressed.

The Z/28 looks mean as hell with those rear fenders. But once again, not all too much different than the production car.

All in all it was a really cool effort of doing whatcha can with whatcha got

Love the Camaro, the TransAm is too much a return to the trailor trash Screaming Chickens. The Camaro looks great with the more aggressive front end, I love that lower lip. If anyone ever hears anything about a similar body kit for the Camaro please let us all know!
