Saw an Impala SS.......

Saw an Impala SS last weekend.

It had a sticker of $31,000 (give or take). I knew they'd sticker for about that much....but when I actually saw the sticker, it was alittle sobering.

Is that too much?

Actually it's roughly $32,000. Just a grand over the Impala.

Also, be sure that the SS you saw was actually supercharged. The dealer here said the current SS they had is not supercharged, and that SC will add another 3 - 4 grand to the price.

I thought the only SS was the supercharged SS. The Monte was the one that would specifically be the supercharged SS.

That is not true.

Impala SS only comes as a Supercharged model.

Impala SS does start at $3000 over an Impala LS's starting price, though... perhaps that is what he meant.

Personally, if I bought a Supercharged Monte brand new, I would have the dealer put regular Monte Carlo SS badging on it. So much better.

Just think in '96 you could get a fully loaded ImpalaSS for 24K (with LT1 tire smoking torque)but then again that was 1996, almost 8 years ago, and some examples are still going for that today.

It sounds like to me that the GTO is going to be a better deal. RWD, LS1, IRS, M6

"Fully loaded" was the only way to get an impala SS then. And apparently, that's the same now with the new Wimpala SS and the Goat.
