Saw an H6 last night
It was unmistakably Hummer but something looked really different. I was behind it and as I pulled along side it I realized what it was. It was 6 wheel drive!!!!! It had a second rear axle. It looked factory and was super clean. The H6 graphics were cool. I just did a search, I didnt realize these things existed...

You know, now that you mention it. I am 5 minutes from MIR, and "pinks" has been using them to film more and more. It never occured to me. I saw it in Waldorf MD headed south. The picture I posted was one I found online not the one I saw.

Well, greater load capacity than a single axle, and greater capacity than even a dually. Also a smoother ride for a given load capacity since the spring rate can be spread over two axles instead of one (or could use a walking beam). Downsides are that it cuts into the cargo space; it requires two driven rear ends if you want both axles to drive; and you double hardware such as brakes. Realistically, there's no need for it on a modern HD pickup.
I think it is a pretty cool 6WD Limo/SUV type vehicle. The body roll is a little scary but I think it would be fun. I still wouldnt shell out the money though.
