cliff's notes:
The 2007 Sky is not only the coolest Saturn yet, it's one of the best looking roadsters ever to drive the American road. Indeed Sky puts a whole new shine on the Saturn brand, and combined with other new products due this year should, for many, make a first trip to Saturn a must.

Re: saturn sky on motorweek
What sucks is for some stupid reason, GM card points don't work for them. And if the estimate payments thing on the GM website is of any indication the intial lease rates are TERRIBLE. When I can lease a 35k dollar BMW 3-series for the same as a 25k dollar Saturn Sky... something is wrong.

The one to get is the Saturn Sky Redline / 260 hp turbo four, coming soon, I hope. When I first started using my GM card, I noticed that Saturn was not available for the discount. At the time, I didn't care. Oops. Now I care.

Wilmington Builds First Batch of Turbo SKYs
SaturnFans.com • May 15, 2006
SaturnFans.com has learned that GM's Wilmington Assembly plant has built its first batch of turbocharged Kappa roadsters for testing and evaluation purposes. The seven pre-production vehicles – four Saturn SKY Red Lines and three Pontiac Solstice GXPs – were reportedly manufactured over the past two weeks. Production of saleable units is not expected for at least another month or two. Sources say that GM hopes to begin shipping the new models to retailers later this summer. The company has announced that the hot-rod roadsters will be available for delivery this fall.

Also, with demand currently very high there's no need to have any incentives built into the leases at all; in fact, GM probably errs on the conservative side as a means of squeaking out a bit more profit.

they've even compiled a list with dealers verified to be selling at MSRP:

Re: saturn sky on motorweek
I disagree. I think residuals on the Sky will be fantastic. Remember, most people only enter a 2 or 3 year lease. How much can a limited-production car, 3 years later (especially one that is generally considered stunning) lose in value? I wouldn't expect it to be much at all. Only time will tell.
Re: saturn sky on motorweek
I saw that episode last weekend and I was disappointed because all they showed was the Sky driving around, and quoted the numbers, they didn't take it to the track for the performance tests.
