Is the S10 xtreme basically dead?
I really liked the xtreme and truth be told I see more kids driving hooked up xtremes than I see driving just about any single type of import, Civics included. I dont think I ever heard anyone in the 16-25 year old range bad mouth it, hell even my 30 year old cousin leased one and loved it.
It was the one thing GM did very right in the youth market, but with the rise of the Colorado will the xtreme get the axe, or is there something in the pipeline for it?

I think that after a year or two, the S-10 and its related models will be dead. The abomination we call "Colorado" will take over and drive the segment of the youth market that bought heavily into the S-10 (for customizing), otherwise known as people with good taste, will be driven elsewhere, probably to the rice cars.
Kudos GM, you royally screwed this up.

Perosoanlly, I think S10 looks really really old now. The build quality on my 97 Zr2 was sub-par, and they just felt 'cheap', but to be fair, I guess they are in a cheap market segment.
On to Colorado... I've only seen pics of the Z71 version, and I think they looks a lot better than S10. Plus they are a little bigger, which was needed, IMO...
I give Chevy a thumbs up, so far, for what I've seen of Colorado.
I wouldn't be surprised to see an "Xtreme" verison of Colorado sometime, whether it is called "Xtreme" or not... You'll probably also see a Colorado SS

if you go to Chevy.com you will see there is already a Xtreme type Colorado (but not called Xtreme)
When the Xtreme came out I thought it was going to be a flop because it had no perfomance upgrades, I guess I was wrong.

This picture was the best I could find about a Colorado based xtreme, called the "sport." If thats it its going to lose the market they have with the xtreme because it looks more like the regular cab Silverado SS than it does the xtreme.

That's terrible. Conservative styling is always best for trucks.

I like the new Colorado/Silverado styling themes.
What I don't like is the name "Colorado". It's a state, dammit!! Did they name it that just so it rhymes with Silverado?
I can't wait to hear the trims available...
Colorado Aspen (ski package)
Colorado Boulder (luxury package)
Colorado Springs (ext cab)
When is GM going to come out with a vehicle named "Connecticut"???
