Where can I see what the next gen GTO's are gonna look like? 4th gen WS6's are sweet! I can only speak for what I see leaving the local dealer on the GTO's, but they do seem to be moving more of the 05's.

You can see it here about 2-3 months before the rest of the world.

I know, but besides that? Post #14, Flip94ta says the next gen gto looks like crap, as if he's seen it already. I was just wondering if maybe, I mist something. Or he/she is an insider?

And the follow-up question, what are all the reasons why the 3rd gen was the best ever and the 4th did nothing right?

All the GT haters knew what the tool of choice was for dismantling a Mustang.

Too bad the next gen GTO looks like crap. MAYBE it will be better in person.
1. No one has pictures of the next gen GTO, and with Zeta cancelled in North America, it's going to be a small miracle if we get the next GTO before 2010 when Holden can add it to their Zeta line.

2. GTO has a shortened sales year for 2005 as GM brings GTO's model year intro to the fall with other products instead of December where it's been for the past 2 years. GM slated 15,000 this year because of this. Just the same, GTO's sales are way up, and selling ahead of projections. That's 2005 GTOs, not leftover 2004s.

3. Pick up the latest edition of MPH magazine. GTO trounced Mustang and Charger, and won what they call their "Tire Shredding" contest.

He's probably referencing that rendering that Motor Trend printed last month. Pretty poor effort, IMO. I don't believe that the next-gen GTO will look much (if anything) like that.

Interestingly enough, the Ausies are reporting that Monaro production will cease in November of this year and no more VZ Monaros will be produced. Goes along with what I read about current Monaro/GTO platform can't be built to satisfy new federal standards that go into effect on January 1, 2006. Sounds like they plan to produce and stockpile MY06 models till the end of CY05 and then shut 'er down. Who knows when GTO will be back.

On the other hand, I have read that they will continue VZ production right alongside the new VE as long as GMNA wants a GTO.

Thank you for clearing that up, I think it was in motor trend, I have seen the yellow gto picture more than once and it looks horrible. I was fustrated to see that on pontiac.com that you cant get a GTO for employee pricing, atleast they are gonna loss money on every car they sell.

Now that GTO sales are picing up why doesn't pontiac show more tv ads and talk about performance vs the competetion. I know the ad budget is tight but why not advertise a car that your gonna turn a dime on. I liked the GP/bonnieville/GTO ads but it was dumb to include the bonnie and then kill it a year later. Now that comericial is useless.

If you are going to sell something quickly, especially something with limited production, do you really need to advertise it?

Good question, since both cars follow almost the same formula.
