Re: Reference Thread: Automotive Production Facilities in North America
Couldn't get away and forget the Romeo Plant...
Romeo, MI - Currently, the main unit is the standard 2-valve 4.6-liter engine.
Ford is 1 year into a conversion for the new 4.6-liter, 3-valve V-8 engine that will power a variety of future Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles, including sport-utility vehicles (SUVs) and passenger cars. Production will begin at Romeo by the end of 2005.
LINK
And of course there is the Specialty Line at the Romeo Plant, where the Blown Cobra and Ford GT engines are hand-assembled. Each engine is built completely by a team of 2, and the teams signatures are put on the completed engine.
