I think DCX would have better luck if they just scrapped the name before they started making it and come up with another, because they are obviously dumbasses and pretty much everyone is going to bitch and moan until they fix it.

I think people would have excepted the sedan if a Charger coupe was launched at the same time, or at least been less pissed about the sedan.

Some charger-cheerleaders are blaming the car's ungainly sheetmetal on the curves of the magazine pages ( ) - -

http://www.allpar.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=50302

This car looks a tiny bit better than the gangsta-ride 300C... but that's not saying much... at all. Bleah. That front grille - what a massively wrong touch for the car. I loved the 1999 concept car; this is a grotesque caricature of it.

You guys are nuts. Its a nice looking car with good performance. I would take it over an evo or sti any day!

It's mighty heavy to be making claims as a performance car (hmm - now that IS true to the Charger heritage ). Not only does it have the comical Dodge truck grille, I also dislike the weird mis-shaped headlights and the mismatch between the rear quarter panel tops and the rear side window shape. Very awkward. And very weird. Plus - saying this looks better than an EVO or STI... aint' saying much

I don't care how fast it is, its not a very visually appealing car to me.

The horrible FWD Turbo Chargers are more of a true Charger. Think of it in a time perspective.

Re: Real Charger production pics from MT

Pontiac should write Dodge a thank you letter for putting something else on the market to draw the hate away from the GTO. I knew a lot of people were waiting on the Charger before making a move on a new ride...and I'm betting many of them are going to go ahead into the GTO over the Charger. I will say this though if it runs mid to high 13s for around 27k while it may be ugly it should sell decently.

I like it! At least Dodge understands that a big V8 4dr sedan should be rwd. Unlike Chevrolet's wrong wheel drive Impala.
