Question about the '06 Impala SS-Test drove one yesterday!

I had the opportunity to test drive the '06 SS on Friday. While I wish they would have produced the car as a rear wheel drive car, I was impressed with it's overall performance. It's hard to compare a car like this to my '99 M6 Z28, but considering the fact that it's the fastest stock SS Impala built, it makes a nice road car. It's definitely the most impressive front drive vehicle that I've driven. I'm seriously considering buying one to use as my family cruiser.

After comparing the specs for the SS Impala and the Pontiac GXP on both the Chevrolet and the Pontiac web sites, I found some interesting information. Both sites state that their car is a 5.3 with 303 hp, but the reported specifications tell a different story. The Chevy is listed displacement is 5670cc (5.7) with a 3.89 bore. The Pontiac is listed as 5328cc, (5.3) with a 3.78 bore. I could understand an error if it was on just one site, but these numbers are listed in both sites. Anyone out there know what's going on?

Both sites are probably connected somehow seeing as how they're all GM. I'm guessing the same person (or persons) do all their websites.

But it IS an error. Not the first time we've seen an error on there.
