Purely by styling, cost and value not applicable:

Hatchback - Chevy Cobalt SS
Wagon - Dodge Magnum SRT8
Crossover - Chevy HHR
SUV - Chevy Equinox (if I was forced to chose... I dislike SUVs)
Truck - Dodge Ram Rumble Bee
Convertible - Cadillac XLR

In my list of recent cars no longer in production:

Sedan - BMW M5
Hatchback - Ford Focus SVT
Wagon - (huh?)
Crossover - PT Cruiser
SUV - Hummer H2 (again if forced to choose)

Convertible- Ford Mustang. What else?

The last 2 guys posted exceeded the 100k limit. GT and a Bentley? Both over 100k.

I think you need to reevaluate the hatchback category on the first list

I had an alternative within the limit though - I think the judge will be lenient

That's why my disclaimer said "purely by styling" and cost not an issue.

If I could afford to blow $99,999 on a 2 passenger sports car (which would likely not be my daily driver) I could probally afford to make sacrifices to raise the extra 50-60 large to get a Ford GT.

Should have classified it as economy coupe. I cut and pasted the catagories.
My bad.

Re: From a purely styling standpoint, who has the best looking car?

Sports Car - New Viper GTS Coupe, (I'd rather own a Z06, but from a pure styling standpoint, I have to give a slight edge to the Viper); C6 (base or Z06)
Coupe - Current 3 Series (not the new '06 cars)
Sedan - CTS-V (me love it long time), Jag XJ, STS, New M45
Hatchback - C6 Corvette (), Mini Cooper S
Compact - Cobalt SS
Wagon - E Class (esp AMG, but might be over $100k)
SUV - Equinox, '07 Tahoe, New M-B M-Class
Truck - Ram (again, just styling) or Sierra, Escalade EXT

I'm sure I'm forgetting some that I really like, but that will do for starters.

Re: From a purely styling standpoint, who has the best looking car?

Sports Car - Acura NSX. Old, but still looked better than anything under 100k imo.
Coupe - Porsche 911 (has a back seat so not a pure sports car)
convertible - Maserati spyder/XLR (tie)
Sedan - Benz CLS. Best looking 4 door ever. Has more of a coupe profile.
Hatchback - Acura RSX
Wagon - Magnum SRT8. I like the muscular/beefy look on SRT8.
SUV - Range Rover
Truck - F150
