Is there some cosmic importance linked to 2009 we don't know about, seems like everything is coming out...2009.

So it will probably be a 2010 model year then. I'd love it if they could have it out by late Aug/sept 2008. Then they could show the production car at the 2008 NAIAS

aren't mules already being tested? How long do cars typically take after production test mules are on the street? I can't imagine it would be 2 years.

Remember that the thing holding up Camaro is that Oshawa 2 has to be completely gutted and redone to build it (and the other Zetas). It doesn't matter if the car is ready if there's nowhere to build it.

YES, there is. 2009 is the year that...

*Gas will hit $10/gallon
*Insurance will be deregulated so they can charge what they want
*All cars that are gas-powered will have a guzzler tax, pollution tax, and tacks tax imposed on them
*The federal speed limit will be reduced to 55 again because electrics can't run 70 sustained
*Iraq will be the 51st state of the USA (or an annex to Texas, whichever Dubya can pull off)
*Hillary will have been president for a few months and we will all be on 28-day billing cycles
and last but not least............
*GM will have perfected and refined OnStar to the point that your GPS-tracked speeding citation will be simultaneously printed in the dash of your car AND at the local Magistrate's Office, your credit card will automatically be billed for the violation, voice-recognition will assist in verifying that you actually accept the charges on your card, and the entire process - including your receipt - will be visually displayed on your HUD system so that you do not have to stop driving to complete the transaction.

Bring on 2009!!!! Woohoo!!!! Woot!!!
