I like it, but it looks like it could stand to be lowered a couple of inches. But that's no big deal. For that price, though, I would either get a GTO or a barely used Cadillac STS.

Looks good...Jed you make a good point but keep in mind after a year or two they'll probably have 8k incentives on those just like they do the GTP and the current cream of the crop bonneville. Bringing it down to a more realistic and reasonable 27-28k.

Or..... you can get the 345hp Hemi powered 300C RWD sedan, also for $35,000.

Anybody else find it kind of odd that they used the Northstar name on a non-Cadillac product? I knew it was the same engine, but I figured they'd call it something else.

It surprised me as well! I had questioned it in a thread a while ago since Caddy has pushed so hard to become synonymous with "Northstar".

I guess Lutz is doing all he can to boost Pontiac since that is his baby. I just hope the other brands do not suffer from neglect or at the expense of Pontiac.

Well, Cadillac is certainly not suffering right now....Even with a Northstar powered Bonneville.

I think the Bonneville is great looking in GXP form---very clean, athletic lines. I'd buy it---despite the FWD--still a cool and more importanty V8 powered passenger car.

Looks pretty cool from the front, (pretty much just like all the other Pontiacs) but those taillights?! What happened there??

does it look ANY different than the current non-GXP bonnies??

i can't tell the difference...

oh, nice shoehorn job on the Northstar btw. a "tight fit" would be an understatement.

Looks the same as The Concept Bonny GXP except for the rims are a little different.

I think it is just the silver color doesn't make it look as good as the dark grey

What are the V8 GXP performace numbers compared to a S/C'd V6 SSEi?

Yeah, I noticed that too...and I found alittle surprising.

here's my take on the whole Northstar deal, I think Caddy feels like they've moved past the attachement to Northstar. Northstar was a way to boost the Caddy brand because it was a showcase motor for GM for a good while now. Sort of "see what we can do?" type of thing. but Caddy no longer needs it because they've boosted their image considerably now with actually making good and exciting cars without even relying on the Northstar.

So basically now the Northstar is on "hand-me-down" duty at Pontiac. Besides, they needed a place to stick it after they decided it couldn't go into the CTS. And why rename Northstar? its one of the strongest brands for GM. they want to boost Pontiac up with it.
