Possible C6 mule spy shots at Bowling Green
Possible C6 mule spy shots at Bowling Green
I was there a few weeks ago, and took the tour, and was looking pretty hard for anything... I did see a lot of XLR stuff, but they aren't exactly hiding that anymore...
Anyway, some interesting pics that a CorvetteForum member took:

Wish I knew you were there, I'm only about 45 min. south of Bowling Green on the north side of Nashville. I do my drag racing at the 1/4 mile strip there too.
Sounds like that XLR is probably a C6 with an XLR body.
We're getting close enough to the debut of C6 that at some point somebody is going to get a good shot of one, even if it's camoflauged. I bet the first good spy shots come from the desert proving grounds rather than at the plant.

It would have been cool to grab a beer or something! The plant tour and the National Corvette Museum are excellent! Not a whole lot else to do in BG though!

We (my fiance and I) had about an 8 hour drive... went through Akron, Columbus, Cincy, Louisville... not too bad, but a long drive still.
I snapped a lot of pics, including the CamaroZ28.com brick!
My roomate in college (I went to school in Bowling Green too) was a intern at the plant back in the mid 90s (he conducted the tours). He's not a "car guy" really but he got to see one of the C5 beta cars while the were still super secret and actually gave me a pretty good description at the time.
At the inagural Labor Day Museum Vette bash thingy I volunteered as a plant tour person. They had the line shut down that weekend obviously, but I got to stand on the line where the windshields were installed on the C4s and tell people what was happening in that area of the assembly. That was 1995 and they had a couple of early Grand Sports there too.
it was all very, very cool

How did you get 'selected' to do that? Did you get to wander around on your own at all?
Darth, my roomate got me hooked up with it. I got a free museum pass for that whole weekend too. I've been to the musuem 4 times since then but I have yet to take the plant tour while it was actually running. I also got a Corvette Musuem "Staff" t-shirt that I still have, lol.
Guion: I noticed that too. I think the tail has an upward curve/lip to it like the C3 stingray.

Also, look at the door area length and proportions... the look different from a C5 as well...
Oh crap! I don't know if I will be ready to buy one buy the time it hits the streets. I love the way early C3 corvettes look. Now if they can just stuff a new 8.2L BB chevy into one with the marine crate motor specs....
i think the yellow is coupe, it could be a ragtop with the same body color, but the rear window it too big and too slanted that guy should just get the pictures blown up, cause it would look way better then when you use a comp to do it
