Because the people of this country believe that only the Big 3 are in trouble and that they make lousy, big, gas guzzling, crappy cars and that is why they are in trouble and need a bailout.
They believe the rest of the auto companies are hrting a little but not in any serious trouble.

We enthusiasts see this slant and are sick and tired of it.
Porche and Toyota have needed a cash infusion but Ford has not. What percentage of Americans do you think know that little fact?

 

The point is, is it is not our money so why care? You talk about the slant like it's something new.

You know what? . . . 30 people died in a car bomb in Lahore, Pakistan yesterday and not a single person I ran into cared! I'm outraged! OUTRAGED I tell you! All I heard about was that woman who faked a crime and took a vacation to Disney World.

 

I'm actually reading about that blast on the front page of the Miami Herald.

 

I think all this stuff is great... yes the assembly line guy loses his job but he will survive. The fat cats get grilled publicly and look stupid to everyone and lose "their" company: awesome.

 

I dont know what you all have against porsche. I know ill never be able to afford one, but ive always liked their cars and id hate to see them go under.
