Guys...your winkie club decoder rings really failed you.....

I take this to mean Pontiac is going to cheaper (maybe even youth-oriented) products dominated by small, sharply-styled, Ecotec powered offerings. I'm not sure what to think about that.
ok.. that's making me think Pontiac will become akin to Toyota's Scion brand.. i hope not

If they can get cars to handle and 'feel' like BMW's for much cheaper, I am excited.

Of course, a rear driver with some V8 muscle needs to be in the lineup as well!

I can't wait- I'm already saving for something in the 2010 era...

I bought the first year GTO and now I have electrical problems and get beat down by all my LS2 buddies. I'll be waiting at least a year this time.

Let's put it this way my friend:

Charlie & me were once upon a time pretty much on different sides of the future of Pontiac. If he's now enthusiastic about Pontiac as I was, I don't think there should be any doubt based on fath.

Yeah, but this thread is not about a Zeta based revolution, it's about a different Greek letter.............

This sounds REALLY exciting. As both a Pontiac fan and a college student nursing the old family car (2000 Grand Prix GTP) until graduation, the idea of a small affordable RWD is about as enticing as it gets.

If i'm reading things correctly, Pontiac will be transformed into a compact-to-midsize brand, with all RWD cars. Aside from the GTO/G8 (on Zeta), there will be additional Kappa-based cars. Not totally Kappa, but close enough that costs will be kept down.

The Kappa cars will have some 4 and 6-cylinder engines, and the Zeta cars will get V8s.

That sounds nothing like a Scion to me

I really don't think Scion is what we're talking about. I think Scion is a whole different niche. Perhaps Pontiac will be where Scion owners graduate to.

BTW, other than the possibility of Pontiac importing some Commodores - Pontiac is still not in the Zeta program.

i read his post as probably no connection to kappa.....

there has been a lot of talk about zeta's flexibility, could it have something more to do with zeta. ah-ha kind of made a statement on C&G, referencing God , tying the beginning to the end.....maybe he was implying the smallest is tied to the largest, or the first to the last of the line....

I like the sounds of this. So I can expect a 25k competitor to the 3-series, from Pontiac. That sounds brilliant. Really, I am being serious, but it needs to be everything style-wise it can be to take on that kind of car. So I'm getting what I always wanted Pontiac to be.

Though it saddens me to hear Pontiac won't be getting a Zeta, I know it's for the sake of overlap. When we're talking about a 35k Commodore for Pontiac, we are talking about encroaching on Cadillac's market. I still think there could be something in that arena that could be made for Pontiac, they just have to think outside the box.

By the way, I would like to start the petition for a Zeta based NG Escalade. Big and tall like a Lambda, with more daring lines and proportions than the current Escalade or any of the Lambdas.
