Talking Pontiac GTO race car [SEMA]

http://www.autoextremist.com/page3.shtml#line
scroll down a bit

i know people here probably already know about it, but I haven't seen it posted yet...here's hoping for a lot of class wins!!

Engine: 6.0-liter LS2 small-block V-8
Horsepower : 450 @ 6400 rpm
Torque: 410 lb-ft @ 5200 rpm
Maximum RPM: 6800
Chassis: Purpose-built tube frame prepared by Pratt & Miller Engineering
Wheelbase: 109.8 inches
Track: 61.5 inches front; 60.4 inches rear
Curb weight : 2,700 lbs.
Suspension: Independent unequal A-arm front and rear
Brakes: Four piston AP calipers with 12.9-inch vented steel rotors
Wheels: 18 x 11.5 inches front and rear
Steering: Power-assisted rack and pinion
Tires: 295-660R18 front; 295-675R18 rear
Transmission: Xtrac 370GT 5-speed sequential transaxle

i wasn't surprised to see that they had to ditch the old-school semi-trailing arm rear suspension to make the car competitive

roger that...if the Astons have the better reliability that the ProDrive Ferraris lacked, the Team Corvette could be in for an unpleasant time

last i heard it was falling short of the c5r somehow which is disappointing
anyways, i'd like that aston martin

the gto looks good, the wing doesn't look good imo but then again, this is a wing that will actually do something, not just ornamental like all the "rice" you find on the streets
