that article is somewhat inaccurate.Production starts june 6th and ships at the end of june.Deliveries are starting july.

Oh, and I CAN count on getting one for MSRP.Not all dealers are jerks.I will post plenty of pics when its delivered.

Nothing new. Ford GTs were (and still are) being sold for horrendous markups. The same thing happened to GTO.

Yes, expect the same thing to happen to any "super Camaro" that comes out.

I'm pretty sure no one actually thought a limited production, Shelby beating Camaro was going to be sold at the price of the old SS.

No one here's THAT gullible, right?

I meant the $20,000 over sticker, whatever that sticker happens to be .

Buy it now for $100,000?? I think I'd get a new Z06 and a Silverado instead.

You didn't hear about the suprcharged 427 Camaro SS with no AC, manual locks and windows, no carpet, and no radio for only $25,000 that they are gonna make?

Supposed to sticker in the low 40's now. Oh well, gonna save my loot for 2008 or 2009 and we'll see what happens. I realy hope a super camaro is out by then . If GM doesn't build a Bugatti Veyron GT killer for under 20,000 I'm gonna get real pissed. I'll never get a Shelby for a song and a dance. Come on GM, Z06 performance for less than 10,000 do it for me and my desire to own a reasonably priced Shelby in the next few years. You guys can do it, I have faith!

Just like the '03 Mustang Cobra that put out Z06 levels of HP, you will be able to get this Mustang for MSRP or a hair less 6 months after it is released. If priced above $39,999 then I can't see demand out pacing the 7500 supply for more than a few months.

Honestly I figure the first run will be priced outta sight, then in a year or two with cool new stuff coming from GM and DCX should make the Shelby reasonably priced or they may have something more attractive by then, say like a Mach or Boss as a mid level SE.

And one to me.
Everyone already has a beater, but no one has a racecar. However, we all know that this will never happen. I've done some reading about the old superstock days when cars like that were made. I guess someone needs to start a new racing series for GM to "understand" the market.
Ah well, if GM does plan on doing it, Dodge/Chrysler will do it a year before them anyways.

*but I'll keep my fingers crossed just in case*
