I was wondering which headlights would be best on my Camaro design, so I thought I'd run it through all of you. The choices are pictured here:

Please vote for the one you like best. The only ones blended in are the Corvette ones, the rest are just sort of sitting on top of the car. Just vote based on design, not how well they are blended in. Remember to think "Camaro" when you vote.

i think i like the calais ones the best since they sort of resemble early 4th gens, but the gto ones don't look bad if they were done right
i think the only major complaint i have is that the parking lamps are in the headlight section
camaro has never had that done right?
they've always been seperate afaik
but yea, i think the calais look pretty good, do your chopping skills on it now

 

I'm heavily leaning towards the Calais ones myself. I think I am going to have to round the outside corners of them though to get them to flow with the body. They look a LOT better than the vette ones in my opinion. Let's see what the polls say tomorrow though...

 

I voted for 5 because it's the best and looks most "Camaro", but I vote no to the entire concept all together.

Can we get a side shot of "said" Camaro? The front end just looks like a 4th Gen to me.

 

I'd be interested in seeing that, too. How much of the 4th Gen would you be able to hide, you know.

Out of the choices given I voted for the Calais lights. That was the least bad looking choice.

 

I'd like to see something more inline with the Saturn Sky headlamps.

 

http://members.aol.com/speedbbb/marodesign5.jpg There is a side drawing at the bottom of this. The front chop I made above (the red one) looks so 4th gen b/c I used a 4th gen as the base. It isn't the best representation of my intentions. Someone pointed out to me that my design looks like the same proportions as a Mercedes SL500 from the side, so I probably should have started with that as the base for my front design. I'm not going to restart the design at present, so I am going to make this one look cooler. I believe I am going to go with headlights #4.

 

I love the rear of that car, looks great. The front looks too much like a vette 4th gen combo. Looks good, its just been done already. Awesome profile too

 

I've started to not like the front as well. I did that drawing first. I'm not liking those headlights very much anymore and I didn't draw the side of the car like I did the rear drawing. You might notice it is much much more rounder near the window similar to a 4th gen.
The side= exactly what I was going for
the back= close to what I was going for, it still looks a little Aston Martin like even though I only used the taillights (chopped a little off though), license plate border, and exhaust... a little of the spoiler, but mine is much larger.
the front= if I have time, I should redraw it sometime.

my red chop= well, I didn't plan on going all out on it til I found how exactly similar the pic of the Corvette and pic of Camaro were nearly the exact same perspective. If I wanted it to look more like my concept, I think I should have started with some other car as the base.
