"Camaro"

I think GM is going to be hard pressed to beat the '05 Mustang in terms of styling. I know everyone doesn't like retro, but I think Ford knocked it out of the park. I haven't seen anything coming out of GM that's wowed me visually, but I'm crossing my fingers.

Intresting to see how long it last's before the Mustang style becomes boring.... also isn't a concept car?

So the production version could look alot different?

I could be wrong as I haven't really kept up with this one..

this is close to what I saw

The front isn't completely right but close. Think 69 RS grill in black.

Will someone host this pic? I think the sys admin at this sight is reassigning threads due to traffic?

No matter what you do to the "SS Concept" it still looks like ****. I just hope the 5th Gen has nothing to do with that car, Chevelle maybe.

Personally, I wasn't very impressed with the SS concept. I thought the rear fascia had some potential as a starting point for a 5th gen....but really the rest of the car left me cold.

It is very expressive...which is a good thing...but somehow it just did't work for me. Maybe it was just too massive or too retro...but whatever it was, I'm really, really hoping for far better on a 5th gen Camaro. I want it to look modern and clean and well proportioned and just generally to knock my socks off.

On the other hand, the Mustang concept was gorgeous. Judging by the crowds around each, (at any given time, the SS had 8-10 people around it....the Mustang 50-60), it seems I'm not alone.

Did anyone else catch Ferrari 550 in the first photoshop? And Porsche 928 in the second one?

I think the concept looks good (the one with black grille).

Let's change the rear a little now.

Was the GM chrome bar actually blacked out or was it tapped over with black tape so most people wouldnt know what it was?

New updated pic with grill blacked-out - http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...postid=1013593

All vehicles had emblems taped over. In the case of the concept, they ran black tape across the chrome bar and covered it completely. You could still make out the bowtie shape in the middle of the bar.

Instead of covering it with tape they should just take it off. (of every car that has it now too)

"Just came back from an automotive market study in Santa Fe Springs CA. The study was to judge the reaction of a car that looks alot like this. It was actually a coupe version of the SS Concept that Chevy debuted at the NY Auto Show earlier this year. What do you guys think?

edit: fixed the grill, now it looks alot like the concept I saw."

UH OH...

They're market studying a 2-door coupe. This seems to be rather positive news for us faithful...
