Nissan's incredible turnaround can be mostly attributed to the decision to reduce the company's total number of platforms from something like 25 (?) to just 6. If only GM could learn do the same. Too many models and too much overlap. At least the decision has finally been made to share platforms with Opel, Holden etc...

Note: Epsilon vehicles in NA are not necessarily compatible with those in Europe.

On the clutch thing. My cousins' 01 Cobra (at the time I drove it), had only 4000 mls., and made a loud *** bang, whenever you pushed it in. And he does not beat it.......AT ALL! Lets not forget, what platform/parts sharing does for the cost of parts, and availability! I have no problems with platform sharing.
