Pics: upcoming Buick Excelle compact
Very cool looking little car and that would be a hit, I think a car styled like that but 4 doors would sell better but I'd rather have the 2 door for my own selfish reasons.

This section is for automotive discussion, not who's right or wrong. I've been wrong plenty of times in my life, and apparently, when you get married, that % increases drastically, but I don't "gloat" to my wife when I was right, that's just bad ethics, and could lead to a frying pan to the head

FWIW, I think that concept car looks terrible

There's just no need for this

I guess I was just trying to say was no matter the debating there's only 1 thing that matters, sales, and we can't do anything but wait on sales figures to come rolling in to know if it was the right decision to green light this car. I REALLY hope it was!
The outside is average. I don't like when the mirrors are mounted on a little strip with small glass triangles in front of them. Reminds me of the multitude of cheap little crapboxes throughout the world.
The interior in the pic linked in the first post doesn't look all that great. The one from the GM press release linked later looked better. If it is to have any success as a premium small car it will need a great interior, and it should have real navigation.

Cadillac might be aiming for a more full range lineup like Lexus and Lexus-like service, but I think their design is aiming more at the sportier brands like Infiniti or BMW.
With Pontiac gone, GM has to give Buick some cheap crapbox to sell so the Buick/GMC dealers are happy. I can see the Fiesta being perceived as more "premium" than this car.

So why is this strictly a GM phenomenon? Apparently Lincoln-Mercury dealers aren't demanding their own Focus, U.S. Acura dealers aren't looking for a Civic rebadge.....
