Pics and info on the 2008 Saturn Vue

nice to see both V6s (3.5L & 3.6L) get the 6 speed automatics

I like the looks a lot better than the current one. I hated the '06 facelift

I agree about the six speeds.

As for the new looks, I'm not sure. It doesn't look bad (and I saw several of the advanced hybrid versions @ DPG recently), but I think I like the overall look of the current one better. The new one looks almost Honda/Hyundai/Kia-ish to me somehow. Again, it isn't bad looking, just a little too bubbly/round or something. It also manages to look much smaller, even though it is basically the same size (with same wheelbase) as the current one. I don't know how passenger/cargo space compare...

The new interior is quite a bit nicer, though (although I actually liked the current one after they made some upgrades for '05 or '06).

I hope it does well. No more plastic = better panel fit () but no more ding- and rust-proof doors/fenders ().

Looks great -- definitely more in line with the big sellers (CRV, RAV4) than the other new domestic CSUVs.

Looks great to me...I have an '04 on the lot right now, and while the Honda V6 is nice, its always irked me to have a Honda motor in a Saturn...

Nice, I just noticed the power window switches are on the doors instead of in the middle. I hate middle/console window switches like the the current Theta SUVs

This is the third VUE since the Ion was introduced, correct? When will that get updated?

Should be within a period of a year that the Astra should be here . 2007 is the last year for the Ion . I would be amazed if it didnt show up at one of the auto shows .

Vue looks good for what it is . Gm is finally getting there act together on the insides .

This is the second generation Vue. 1st gen was 2002-2007 with a updated interior and uglier front clip in 2006

The Ion came out in MY 2003 after the Vue, 2007 will be its last model year for the Ion. Like what was already said, the 2008 Saturn Astra will replace the Ion

like the 05 my wife has better.Look alot better and distinctive! New one looks generic. Might grow on me in time.

Looks like it will stomp the 3.5L Honda Vue in a race though!!
