Two new premium exterior colors: Jetstream Blue Metallic Tintcoat and Crystal Red Metallic Tintcoat are available.
The met tintcoat is similiar to the anniversary red color I think. I based the color of my car off the anniversary color, its technically called just met red tint 3ct. Its got a really weird base of something like maroon and two more coats of an opaque so 3 times more trips around the car than normal.
Is it real leather? The leather on Corvette seats doesn't seem to hold up very well over time. I realize leather on the dash and such wouldn't be subject to nearly as much physical wear but I wouldn't want it to ever look old/faded/wrinkled so I hope they really designed it to not need conditioning every few months to stay looking good.
Otherwise I agree, it's a really nice looking upgrade. I wonder what it will cost?
Also - I don't quite get the color options. There are only two colors available? Am I understanding it correctly? If one of them is that orange color then what's the other color like? If I got one it would probably be that new premium red or blue color - so I wonder if they offer a package to match that color?

Threxx - Unlike the C5's , the C6's have been using Nuance leather .....which is the same leather Cadillac uses . A friend of mine has a 2005 vette , there really isnt any signs of wrinking or crackin yet . In reference the C5 seats woulda looked 10 years old by now .

And as to the paint, as stated, TYPICALLY it's a 3 stage process, but BG isn't set up for 3 stage paint, so in the Corvettes case, it's a 2 stage process of a base color and a tinted clear, though the repair/repaint process is the 3 stage system described above, or something similar to that. This was debated ad nauseum on the Corvetteforum until someone from the paintshop at BG finally came in and gave the final say. From the factory, it's 2 stage, but for body shops and paint shops, they do repairs using the 3 stage process, that's where most of the confusion because you had guys saying it was a 2 stage paint, and you had paint/body guys saying they do 3 stage for re-paints. Both were correct. The extra cost for the premium colors is for them having to shut down the paint shop equipment to switch over to the tinted clears, the waste of losing the residual clear in the system when they clean it out, and the Corvette Tax (or the "because they can" tax).
