There is a current Cadillac ad that shows an STS, Escalade, and SRX driving around a snowy mountain. The whole comercial there is music playing, and the cars driving. Then the cars leave the screen, and the music ends...and the commercial goes "Try the AWD Cadillac's" or something like that.

For me..this would seem dumb when trying to tackle the no car savy consumer. Just because it is snowing does not mean they will automaticly think AWD (or know what cars they are). Better yet, they didn't mention the AWD untill the cars you were advertising were off the screen...and never mentioned or listed the cars pictured.

Anyway...just a rant.

 

i've seen those quite a few times already and they really don't make any kind of impact on me.

there is one that shows a DTS, SRX, and an XLR driving around normal streets when they take a turn into the giant poster that turns into a snowy mountain and the XLR just seems to dissapear. i don't recall that one even mentioning the AWD thing, it just kind of ends.
