okay new thread for the 5th gen, any update new pics?
Okay guys I have been trying to follow the flow of info on here and other sites about the 5th gen being developed, anyone here that has what has been narrowed down to what is possibly the next gen Camaro?
I have looked and searched but come up with about 150 drawings..just looking for the right picture to go on for what we think is the product GM is going to put out!
Thanks guys, just thought I would throw out a new Camaro thread since its all Mopar so far.. (im to blame on that one too )

Guion said there will be more info in the next issue of PHR. We already have the confirmation of building of 5th gen but he said there are more secrets let out in the next issue. I can't wait.
Fly-Why don't you have access to a PHR? Just go to the bookstore and read it there and then put it back when your done. Just like Barnes and Noble lets you do.

Latest update is that development work has gone out to whatever vendors whill be supplying parts to the car. Johnny Hunkins got info from at least one of them. He (and certain other people) say 2007 as the model year Camaro returns. Chevrolet is also hot for that year (40th anniversary). I'm still leaning towards 2007 calender year as a 2008.
The reason is that the plant where it's most likely to be made at (I ain't say, so don't ask) won't be ready till 2007 at the earliest. It's possible it will be made on the same production line as the 2007 Buick Park Ave & Buick LeSabre replacement, with the other cars scheduled to be made on that line (all "large" cars) & the likelihood that Camaro will be significantly different (at least in the rear end) I have my doubts. I may be wrong, but I haven't seen anything personally yet.
As for the looks, Cheers & Gears had a few people who saw it give descriptions to one of the more "artistically inclined" members who came up with a very good representation. It wasn't exact, but it was very very accurate. If you missed it, there should be another chance to see the car in the next PHR.

Everyone, from the journalist types who do the digging, to the engineers and marketing folks who know certain tidbits, has to be very careful about what they do or don't say.
Honestly, the hush-hush is a good thing. Changes can happen very late and very fast, and if some come then half the folks who thought they knew something would be upset and disappointed, and the other half would be sending hate mail to GM.
So...
Just let it take it's course.
Methinks you're going to be happy, but like any new car, you'll have to broaden your way of thinking a little bit.
For instance:
The Corvette guys are getting used to fixed headlamps...
