That's like an unrefined aveo, not a stripper car (wait, the Aveo is refined? Just relatively.). They need stuff like that for countries like India where there economy is growing and people are able to afford cars.
I doubt we'll ever see it here.
Us spoiled American are looking for something else. Something low production, something no one else has. Some want a race car, some want a sleek custom cruiser .
I am suprised GM hasn't tried to bank on the custom look of the 300c and do something of their own.

Shouldn't be hard. Technically, the Aveo already fits what they describe in the article since it starts at $9995. Decontent and it will likely start much lower.

Definitely no-frills and lightweight. Somehow I'm just not sure its going to catch on with the drag racer crowd.

Sounds like they thinking of something larger than the Aveo for substantially less than $9,995.

Maybe not, if the engineering is done overseas where engineers cost less.

but if they all came with pw,pdl,ac etc wouldn't be cheaper still?
