Ok so the camaro *might* come back

Big news today. Personally I could care less. I'm not gonna hold my breath. I like the new stangs. What do you guys think?

I think the new Stangs look like *** (and that's coming from a Moostang owner).

If GM brings the Camaro back, I hope they don't ruin it (perhaps a link to an article would be nice so we can see if it is something genuine or just one of many other BS articles).

Re: Ok so the camaro *might* come back

there is an article in the 5th gen section about lutz saying, "We're going to take another look at high performance rear-wheel drive."
http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=357991
they just say they are looking re-enter the old camaro market, probably cause they got their buts handed to them by ford sales. a while back red said that he was offered early retirement. but is instead going back to make sure certain "projects get done right or not at all." he also said something about how by him going back he may lose some benefits/retirement or something.
my worry isn't too much of the car, its whether or not i should buy it, GM has some pretty crappy dealers that don't recognize warranty and such.

They need to axe the ssr and make things that will sell. Design a smaller rwd V8 car thats comfortable to compete with the stang. Easier said than done but they could do it if they wanted to. http://forums.gminsidenews.com/showt...threadid=13451

Unless the stang is a Saleen im not in the least bit intrigued. And even then i dont like them. And sure as hell wouldnt pay the sticker price for one.

And i loved the last gen Mustangs.

you obviously havent seen the new snake. I liked the last gen stangs too but this one is a whole new platform with better..well...everything. The only stang i would ever buy would be a cobra and well, i think this is the one that swayed me.

I have come to the conclusion that GM really doesnt care about us, the drag racers and enthusiasts. Now ford has realized what a gold mine it has milking old mopar fans waiting for the next charger and us the f-bod owners holding onto a useless dream. I think a RWD V8 Mont Carlo has more of a chance then we do at getting the camaro back. Or if we do its just going to be a GTO clone with a diff facia. Not a camaro i would want to own. I still say the best f-bods ever made were the 4thgens.

Yep if they were serious they would have some prototypes or something.

IMO if you got plans to buy a Cobra, you might as well "pony up" a bit more cash and get yerself a new C6. At any rate, I think it's cool that, within a couple years, a used C6 could be had for ~$30k or so. hehe
