That looks HOT!!! I love the interior and use of the Solstice wheel. All it needs is a 3.9L or DOHC 3.6L. Very sporty, look a lot better than the new BMW X3.

 

Like you have a better way to show off the pics. Mervz I have see you do the same thing on GMI it ain't any different.

Notice the hood and grills look a lot like the Woodward GTO Ram Air 6 Concept.

Back to the topic at hand, I'm severly disappointed in GM's decision to rebadge the 'Nox to sell it as the Torrent. The least they could so is offer a slightly different powertrain combination and not the Chinese made engine that powers the 'Nox.

Once you get enough creditability to have GM fly you to events and give you vehicles to write articles on, like they do with me, get back to me. Untill then, never, i repeat, never give me a hard time about posting on this site. I've been here YEARS before you.


Also, might i add, i've been to the last three years of the Camaro/Firebird Invasion, yet.. you've showed up to, oh yeah, you NEVER have.... I know and have met many members of this site personally and each will vouch for my knoledge and contributions. Including giving a presentation at the last Invasion and i've been schedualed for future NCM events as well. So, don't play this "holier than thou" approach on me.

ANYWAY

I like it a lot, but it looks a little too much like an Equinox. Not a bad thing, but couldn't they be a LITTLE more original??

Love the dash, hate the engine. I had a 3400 in an '02 Grand Am GT. Hated the noise (although the Nox is much quieter with the same engine...go figure) and it was barely adequate in a Grand Am. I cannot imagine what a 600 lb or so heavier Torrent AWD will feel like. I drove a FWD Nox and even that was barely adequate.

A shame, because with a 3.9 it could at least attract someone looking at, say, a Murano.

 

I was hoping for a 3.9L with a whole new dash design. The only thing different with the interior is chrome on the vent tabs, chrome accent on new rotary controls for the HVAC, better steering wheel, and better gaues.
The outside looks better than the Chevy with Clear Red taillamps and the frt end design flows better.
If the seats are better than the Chevys, with more power, and firmer steering, I just might put this car on the shopping list.

I wouldnt want to hate it so much if it just had a 3.5 or 3.9. Is it that the 5spd cant handle the power from the larger engines? I think Id rather have 240hp 3.9 with a 4spd then 185 hp with a 5spd.
I hope this one can handle better then the Nox. Lower it, stiffer springs and tighter suspension with thicker sways. If it could at least handle a curve or 2, I could see this being ok. They changed just enough to mask it from the Nox.
