Official photos, Ferrari F430 (360 replacement)

Story and photos:
http://www.autoweek.com/news.cms?newsId=100673

To achieve performance on par with Lamborghini’s Gallardo, the F430 gets power from a 4.3-liter V8 engine derived from sibling marque Maserati’s Coupe, Spyder and Quattroporte. The Ferrari uses a flat-crank, unique intake manifold and lighter internal parts to churn out 483 hp at 8500 rpm, a significant improvement over the 360 Modena’s 400 hp rating. Just as promising, torque rises from 275 lb-ft to 343 lb-ft at 5250 rpm. Ferrari claims the new car sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 4.0 seconds, a half-second quicker than the old model. Top speed bumps to 196 mph—a 13-mph improvement. Ferrari says it has modified the F1 gearbox’s performance, with shifts taking a scant 0.15 second.

Looks better than i was anticipating. Love every angle of it. Some definite Enzo influence in that rear.

483hp out of a N/A 4.3 v8....only Ferrari . Tq is much improved i see. Me likes it overall.

Looks good to me. I think it looks considerably better than the Enzo (although I know they are very different cars).

Awesome. Again, I have yet to find a Ferrari that I dislike.

As stated above, they have the horsepower thing down, now lets see some torque!

Note: I know the formulas for both, lets just see some more low-end.

its not so much that... im used to buzzing them... matter of fact, its kinda nice... with the variable intake geometry they use, its very civil and nice to drive around town, and then when you start reving it, it really goes. it doesnt feel lethargic at low RPM like a overcammed buzzing race motor would...

what bugs me is theres other higher hp to weight ratio cars that can easily be had for alot less... id expect atleast 500 if not more from ferraris new flagship car... this is what they will be selling the most of...

Looks like the 360, not that that is a bad thing because the 360 in the hottest Ferrari ever IMO.

DAMNIT!

Just when I got over the 355 and the 360 nw they stuff a 4.3L in this!

Now Im gonna be drooling over this sucker.

Yeah too bad its not 500 HP

I think they wanted to save that benchmark for later.....I just know a lot of people are going to buy these only for Ferrari to somehow up the HP later on....oh well....
