Since this is the only challenger thread up right now. Has anyone seen the interior pics? I dont want to hear anything about the interior of the Camaro being ugly anymore. And the dodge is supposed to be close to production ready even... I dont like it.

Maybe if production version is off LY (Is that right?) and the Challenger is in the program from the beginning they could shorten the car a little more for production and then make it a bit smaller all the way 'round on the outside while keeping the muscular stance.

I was at the puny San Jose auto show this past Saturday. The relevance to this thread is that they had the old Chrysler Airflite concept there. That concept also had a 116" wheelbase, just like the Challenger. However, overall length was 189" (as I recall), which is about what the Challenger would have been without the extra front overhang.
I don't think a little extra overhang weighs all that much. It can be thin, lightweight metal. On the other hand, I'm guessing that one of the reasons that the Airflite never came to be is that it weighed nearly as much (and cost about the same to build) as a 300/Charger.
Too bad. I'd like to see a RWD Stratus/Sebring. Would anyone like to see a Dodge Coronet/Chrysler Satellite?
