The A.I.R. system is no more.

I yanked the last vestige of it out last night and then had a voodoo ceremony where I heaped blood-stopping curses on the Federal Government and GM Powertrain engineers.

May the lord of darkness have mercy on their souls.

Holley is going to have a curse put on them next.

I need to work in the aftermartket, cause crap doesn't have to fit or work and you can still charge hundreds of dollars for it.

And here I am, spending my entire career actually making functional parts...

 

I.E. - like when you yoink the EGR & have to do LS1 edit.


Will these cars pass emmissions w/o AIR ?


I think they will fly w/o the EGR so long as the edit is done to prevent the SES light.

At least, that's the way Harris County works - no tailpipe test for OBDII cars.

1) Yep. You just LS1 edit it out.

2) Doesn't matter for me. If the cam I am looking at is the one I go with (248/254, .700 lift, 109 LSA), it won't pass emissions with the key out of the ignition. Starting it would probably kill small mammals that happen to wander by and wilt flowers at 100 paces.
