I was just gone on an 18 day backpacking trip with my school and for 3 nights (72 hours) we are alone, kind of as a find yourself thing. So i did some writing. Here is a poem i wrote:

Ode To Camaro

When the Camaro rolls up to the line
Getting ready to make a loser whine,
It warms up all cylinders one by one
Making the best ever exhaust sound.
Rumbling a scary tone makes others shamed
Because they know they are going to be maimed.
Just the sight of a Chevy Camaro
Is enough to make Stangs want to go
So that they can run as fast as they can
But it always proved futile when they ran
Because the Camaro always beat them.
From there the tree of wins began to stem
And branch out as it continued to win
As more losers were thrown in the trash bin.
The Camaro has become a legend
As it can easily take any bend.
The only word that describes the feeling
Driving a Camaro gives is, well, “King.”


I also started writing a car movie about street racing. The main character's name is Stephen Swift (yup his initials are SS) and he has 2 Camaros but one will only be revealed at the end. He is also a legend in the street racing world. Basically, his bro gets killed in a street race and he vows to make it safer but cops wont have anything to do with it so he resorts to a somewhat vigilanteway of doing things.

But the movie sounds a little like 'Fast and Furious'. If you could do me one favor though, come up with a better line than "I live my life a quarter mile at a time." And don't have you character's Dad killed in the second turn of a pro-stock race....there are no turns in drag racing except to get on and off the track.

THanks for the comments. Im probly going to type up what i have of the movie this week and ill post it here. Im really going to have to watch being too fast and furiousish. And if it does ever get made (which i doubt) ill make sure to not make it cheesy like Rob Cohen (director of TF&TF and xXx, produced Last ride) always does.
