OC California Auto sales plunge 17%!
Even Toyota saw a 25% decline.

New auto registrations plunged 17.4 percent in August, the largest drop in recent years, the Orange County Automobile dealers Association reports.
Sales of cars and light trucks, domestic and Japanese autos all nose dived. Toyota, the most popular brand in Orange County, saw sales tumble 25 percent.
Year-to-date sales for all vehicles in Orange County fell 8.7 percent from the same period in 2006. Last year’s sales were 2 percent less than total sales in 2005.
August witnessed tightening credit and falling consumer confidence.
