Now THIS is retro!

I posted this in the lounge, but I think it'll get a little more appreciation here...

from my post in The Lounge
Time to brag: 1966 Corvette big block. Perfect.

No, I don't own it, and I don't know the seller...

But, my father-in-law and his partner did the Bloomington Gold and Duntov Award winning restoration! (They have received over 20 Bloomington Gold awards on cars they have done! If I am remembering right, 25 cars they have done went to Bloomington, and 24 won Gold, and 1 won Silver... and the only reason the 1 got Silver was because the owner made some changes on his own after the restoration was completed...)

Just wanted to show it off... I came across it by chance while browsing eBay.

EDIT: Forgot to add that it's an NCRS Top Flight winner as well. :strut:

Wow! That thing is incredible.

The only thing that I don't care for when it comes to that class of car is that if you take them out and enjoy them the way they are meant to, the value goes to hell. Otherwise, there are probably few finer.

Thanks for the comments... I have been watching my father-in-law restore a 62 Fuel Injection Corvette over the last year and a half... I have learned so much just from watching...

I'd take that over an AMG any day. That car is absolutely beautiful.
