The price of this car makes the ZR1 look like a real steal.

First off, the Vette in general, no matter the model is a steal performance per dollar wise. However, if everyone shopped with that mindset there would be no market for exotic cars. A fast as a ZR1 (or GTR for that matter) is, it's never going to be a Lamborghini.

My first thought was, "$150,000? Way overpriced!"

Then I read theyre only making 10 a month. Simple supply and demand will drive the price of that car way up. Car enthusiests with money will buy these up very quickly...

No I don't feel like taking a swing at the Corvette will never be a Lamborghini horse.

I think this is the car that is more capable to run the 7:29 at the Ring. I'd bet Porsche would probably agree.

No worries mate, I'll gladly do it!! Besides it makes them feel good about themselves to beat up on me!! The Corvette>Lambo all day long, because it's American and....."because we live here"......lmao! Dude I need that turbo boost for my Z!

Nissan GT-R Spec-V details released



Nissan won’t be attending the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, but prior to the press days Nissan will unveil the new Nissan GT-R Spec-V and thanks to GTRBlog, we have all the specs on the new lighter, faster and more powerful Spec-V model.

Nissan is expected to make only 10 units a month of the special-edition model with prices starting at 15,000,000 yen ($153,625 USD). The new Nissan GT-Spec V will make its official debut on January 8th, 2009 with the following changes:


Engine/Drivetrain:

- Engine output increased to 520-hp.
- Transmission mode selection button has been removed.
- Overboost button for increased midrange boost during overtaking.
- Carbon brakes.

Interior:

- Carbon fibre MFD surround
- Carbon fibre mirror switch surround
- Black interior only
- Silver painted panels are now chrome
- Carbon fibre front seats
- Carbon fibre rear shelf replaces seats

Exterior:

- Carbon fibre grille painted matte clear
- Carbon fibre rear wing painted matte clear
- Carbon fibre ducts in front lip spoiler
- New colour available: Ultimate Black Pearl, this is said to be a purplish black
- Available colours: Ultimate Black Pearl, Brilliant White (new for MY09), Red, Dark Metal Gray, Black

Wheels and Suspension:

- Rays 20″ Forged Aluminum Wheels
- Bilstein Damptronic suspension upgraded, superiour in performance to the Nismo ClubSport package suspension

Optional Extras:

- Dunlop Tires (no cost option)
- Thatcham alarm system
- BOSE Sound System and ETC (Electronic Toll Card system)
- Ultimate Black Pearl Paint - a 577,500 yen option

So this one will have an issue with blown [insert engine or intake part here] and they will not cover it under warranty if you used this button. What a joke!

If Nissan runs it on "stock" tires, I will run 7:00.
